Rachael has been working full time as a Registered Massage Therapist since graduating with honors in 2010.
From a young age, she has been intrigued with the human body, and the body's ability to heal from seemingly impossible circumstances. This fascination led her to pursue a career in Massage Therapy, a practice in which she has turned to personally in the past and believes very strongly.
Rachael believes in working with each individual to give the body the movement and balance it needs to promote self-healing. Through manipulation of tissues, bones, joints, nervous systems, and the fascia that surrounds and affects every part of the body, balance can be achieved and a unique treatment is created for every client.
She believes all massage is therapeutic, whether treating an injury, providing stress relief or just spoiling oneself. By employing the basics of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release to reduce tension in the tissue and relieve overall stress, she strives to bridge the gap between treatment and relaxation to bring you a well-rounded massage.
During treatments, she uses a wide variety of techniques including, Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, stretching, remedial exercise and Trigger Point Therapy and has worked with people of all ages from infants up to geriatric patients.
Rachael is also trained in, and incorporates Lomi Lomi Massage into her treatments. Also called "Loving Hands", Lomi Lomi is an energetic form of ancient massage found in Hawaii. This type of massage works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous flowing strokes, totally nurturing the body and enabling the recipient to relax, give in and simply be.
